I just got back from a trip to the West Coast. I went out to see the Red Lands Bike Classic that my brother raced in (sorry no pics) and visited my friend Julia in Los Angeles. It was my first time in LA and Julia was a spectacular host! We did not get stuck in traffic once and we spent most of our time outside taking little hikes or exploring the LA arboretum. These pictures are from a day hike we took to Deep Creek Hot Springs about two hours outside of Los Angeles. It was a small hike through the dessert along the ridges of dunes and down to the river, above which were carved out some small hot spring pools. We tried our hardest to not get lost in the dessert and to not be too prude about getting naked with all the old hippies. It was an amazing day!
